
Born on December 8, 1972 in Qom, she is an Iranian politician who
represented Tehran in the fifth term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. She
is the second daughter of Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. Faezeh Hashemi is politically
reformist and is one of the founding members of the Construction Agents Party.
Faezeh Hashemi has been the president of the Islamic Federation of Women's
Sports since 1990.
During the presidency of Faezeh Hashemi, this federation organized
women's Islamic games and went so far as to hold the fourth edition of women's
Islamic games in Tehran. Muslim News, the UK's most widely circulated minority
publication, has been promoting Muslim Leadership in Public Relations, Health,
Development and Communication, Education, Culture, Economics and Media since
2000 to promote Muslims living in the UK. It named one of the awards as Faezeh
Hashemi Award for Merit in Sports.
