Following the specialized meetings between officials of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports with the candidate federations for the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, the above meetings continued with the presence of officials and technical staff of Wrestling, Athletics, Badminton, and Football.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Dr. Alinejad,
Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee, initially explained the
Bahrain Asian Youth Games and the importance of this event for the country's
national champions in order to build support for their participation in the
Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, and declared the
presence of the country's delegation in this edition of games to be a quality
one. Alinejad emphasized that quality delegation means winning medals in the
men's division and achieving good results in the women's division, and highlighted:
"Participating in the games requires certain conditions, and if the
desired results are not achieved, its adverse effects will naturally be visible
in other disciplines as well." Some details provided by the Games
Organizing Committee and the national team players' dates of birth, considering
the sensitivities of the age group, and more details were discussed between the
officials.
