Iran NOC; Tehran: One of the
important policies of the government in sports is planning for a strong
presence in the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. Currently, a
draft of this plan, titled "Olympic Executive Plan," has been
prepared by a number of experts from the Ministry of Sports in the Planning and
Supervision Office in collaboration with university professors, and after a
comprehensive review and necessary amendments, it will be submitted to the
government. Accordingly, the Minister of Sports held a meeting with the
presence of the deputy ministers, the President of the National Olympic
Committee, and NOC members of the Executive Board to finalize the said plan and
submit it to the cabinet with the cooperation and consultation of these individuals.
Setting goals for obtaining the
number of entry quotas, winning medals, and Iran's team position in these
games, training camps and foreign tournaments for national teams, utilizing the
greater capacity of women, creating appropriate hardware, comparing training
conditions in competing countries, and most importantly, estimating the foreign
exchange and domestic budget are among the items that have been included in
detail in the draft of the "Olympic Executive Plan."
This is the first time that the
Ministry of Sports and Youth is designing and compiling a four-year major plan
with the aim of promoting the country's sports to participate in the Olympic
