“ANOC General Assembly indicated that countries have highly invested in sports”

Iran NOC; Tehran: Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, President and Dr. Seyed Manaf Hashemi, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, were present at this meeting. Regarding the issues raised in the above meeting, the NOC Secretary General stated: “The above general assembly was held with the presence of most of the presidents and secretaries-general of the National Olympic Committees of different countries in the world, in which the host countries presented their programs. Also, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, while welcoming the participants, raised various issues and topics regarding the organization of Paris Olympic Games and how to host them. Meanwhile; the countries that won medals in the Olympics for the first time were praised, and even a number of athletes in some sports, such as Swimming and Athletics, who often won gold medals; were prized”. Highlighting the reports presented to the assembly members on behalf of different organizing committees, WADA and CAS; the NOC Secretary-General reflected: “Valuable topics were discussed to indicated that sports are receiving great attention and are growing in different continents of the world, and that countries have highly invested in this area”.
