The first phase of the "Young Olympic Ambassadors Training Course for Female Athletes from the Provinces of the Country" was held by the Women and Sports Commission of the National Olympic Committee in Kermanshah.
Iran NOC; Tehran: This project,
which has been defined in 8 phases at the national level for 31 provinces of
the country, will start in current year and continue until the end of next year.
The first phase of this project, with the financial and moral support of the
IOC Olympic Solidarity, was held in Kermanshah for female athletes and
champions aged 12 to 15 from the five provinces of Kermanshah, Kurdistan,
Lorestan, Hamadan and Ilam in September. The purpose of this course is to
familiarize young female athletes and champions with the history and Olympic Movement,
Olympic values, sports and the environment, promoting media literacy and familiarizing
the students with the dangers of social networks, improving psychological
skills and self-confidence and self-belief, and protecting themselves from
harassment and abuse. After completing this course, young athletes will be
responsible for promoting Olympic values in their province as young Olympic
Ambassadors. In this training course, 65 young champions from Zagros region
were trained in practical and theoretical workshops under the supervision of
expert instructors for 4 days, from 7 am to 9 pm every day.
