Iran's National Taekwondo team won the championship title in both boys and girls divisions in Korea; the birthplace of Taekwondo in the World.

Junior Taekwondo Championship started with the participation of 936 Taekwondo
players from 96 countries, hosted by South Korea in Chuncheon city, and after 6
days, the Iranian National teams won the championship in both boys and girls
groups. In the girls' group, the national taekwondo team was brilliant from the
first day until it won the championship with four gold and one silver one day
before the end of the competition. For the girls' team, Parnian Nouri, Ainaz
Nasiri, Hana Zarin Kamar and Ghazal Houshmand won 4 gold medals. Sagar Moradi
also won a silver medal.
Also, National boys' team passed
South Korea, the host of this competition, on the final day, and despite the
referee's mistake and Radin Zinali's unfair elimination, the worthy youths of
our country won three gold, one silver and two bronze medals in this section of
the tournament. Amir Mohammad Ashrafi, Sina Mohtarami, Mehdi Razmian won three
gold medals, Ali Akbar Ebrahimi won a silver medal, and Amin Mohammad Ahmadvand
along with Amir Mohammad Nasir Ahmadi won two bronze medals.
For the first time, Iran national
teams for both boys and girls won seven gold, two silver and three bronze
medals. South Korea finished second with four gold, four silver and one bronze.
Croatia took third place with two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The
Iranian delegation won the world championship twice in the boys' division and
once in the girls' division; however, this is the first time they become the
world champion in both boys’ and girls’ groups at the same time.
