Judo’s Spell Broken after 10 years by Asian Gold Medal
Mohammad Mahdi Mazloum, the representative of the 90+ kg national junior boys team, broke the spell after 10 years and won the gold medal for Iranian junior judo in Asia.

Iran NOC; Tehran: The Judo Asian Juniors Championship was hosted by South Korea in "Mong Yong" and on the second day of this competition, the National Judo Team (Boys) won one gold medal, two bronze medals and two fifth titles. The junior national team had participated in these competitions with the composition of five national athletes. In +90 kg, Mohammad Mehdi Mazloum defeated "Singla" from India in the first fight. In the second fight, he succeeded in defeating Alireza Nik Sarasht, another representative of Iran in this weight, to reach the semi-finals. In the semi-final, Mazloum entered the finals of the Asian Junior Championship by defeating the host country's representative. After 10 years, the 90+ kg weight representative managed to win the Asian gold medal by defeating Kazakhstan in the finals of the Asian Junior Championships.
