The first coordination meeting of NOC headquarter for the upcoming Olympic Games in Los Angeles was held.
Iran NOC; Tehran: With regard to the completion of the Paris 2024
Olympic Games, the National Olympic Committee has set for a strong presence in
the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and held the first coordination meeting of
the Games Headquarters to achieve this goal. In this meeting, which was held
with the presence of Khosravi Vafa and Seyyed Manaf Hashemi, NOC President and
Secretary General, advisors, staff managers of the National Olympic Committee,
proposals and initial decisions for setting up the work program of the
headquarters were put on the agenda. It was decided that before the next
meeting of the headquarters, the evaluation of the performance of the delegation
in Paris 2024 will be reviewed and followed up in order to eliminate the
shortcomings and strengthen the positive points in technical and managerial
dimensions. In this meeting, the preliminary program of the Iranian delegation
participation in the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya was also discussed, and it was
decided that the description of the activities and the preparation process of
the disciplines participating in the Asian Games should be prepared and
implemented in line with a strong presence in the 2028 Olympics. In addition,
it was decided that the resolutions of this meeting be sent to the executive board
for implementation, so that in the first meeting of this group, they can
discuss and decide on their required measures.
