Freestyle Wrestling Finishes Paris 2024 by the Last Bronze
Amir Ali Azarpira, the Iranian Freestyle Wrestler of the delegation went into his last match against US athlete and secured the bronze medal.

Iran NOC; Tehran: In 97 kg, where there were 16 athletes, Amir Ali Azarpira faced Ahmed Tajuddinov, the world champion and the first chance of Olympic championship from Bahrain, in the first round. He missed the next stage, but due to his opponent's presence in the finals, he had another chance. In the semi-finals, Tajuddinov passed Kyle Snyder, the world and Olympic champion from USA by 6:4.

Azarpira continued his games to win the bronze medal in the losers group and won 6-1 against Alishir Yergali, the holder of 4 world silver and bronze medals from Kazakhstan. He faced Kyle Snyder, the world and Olympic champion from USA, in the ranking match to win the bronze medal. Freestyle Wrestling finished their games by winning 2 bronze and 2 silver medals.
