The ceremony of the Olympic Century Banquet was held with the presence of Iranian Olympic medalists (1948-2020) and their families, Olympians, champions, veterans and sports officials of the country.

Ministers, former NOC Presidents and Secretaries-General, Women’s
Vice-Presidents, Asian and world Champions and medalists, Athletes’ Commission
Members, NOC Commissions’ Members, the Olympians from London 1948 up to Tokyo
2020. It is worth
highlighting that the ceremony began by playing the message on behalf of Thomas
Bach, the esteemed IOC President and was followed by the welcome address of the
NOC President, Mr. Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa. Two Iranian dubbing professionals hosted
the program. At the
beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, the NOC President, while
welcoming the guests, stated: “The purpose of this ceremony was to celebrate
the champions of the Olympic history of Iran along with their families, because
families play an effective role in the success of a sports champions, but they
are less considered. Unveiling of the late Takhti's voice and Olympic music
will be an excuse to appreciate these loved guests again”. One of the
features of this event was that for the first time, the music of "Iranian
Olympic" composed by the great master of Iranian music, Majid Entezami,
was performed. Also, for the first time, the only lasting voice of Gholamreza
Takhti, the popular Olympic champion Iran, was revealed for the first time. It
is noteworthy that for the first time in the history of sports in Iran, 5 of
the great honors of Iran, who apart from their participation in championship sports,
have been in the world of art and as social activists, received Badge of Honor. But what
attracted a lot of attention was that, for the first time in the history of
Iranian sports, the Iranian Olympic medalists from London 1948 to Tokyo 2020
were honored in the presence of their families, and they were awarded with the Badge
of Honor of the Iranian Olympic, Championship Certificates and the exquisite Champions
in the Olympic History booklet. In this
ceremony which was represented by 1200 participants received the coverage on
behalf of National TV and by 105 journalists, photographers and reporters.
