Mahin (Zahra) Korehchian is one of the best players in the history of Iranian Women's Basketball who was a member of the senior national team in the 1950s. Korechian was born in 1931 in Tehran and was known for his long-range shots.

in the 1974 Asian Championship in South Korea with the Iranian Women's National
Basketball team and became fourth with this team. Korechian was selected as the
most popular player in these competitions. She then participated in the first
round of Women's Basketball in the Tehran 1974 Asian Games with the Iranian
national team. Iran finished fourth in the competition among the five
participating teams. Korehchian, who was more popular than other female
basketball players during her playing days and whose photos were published on
the covers of magazines and newspaper pages, played in Tehran Pas, Taj and
Irana clubs and experienced several championships of the country's clubs. The
best shooter in the history of Iranian women's basketball in the Oral History
Project praised the unspoken words of the time of being sent to the Asian
Championships and the Asian Games in Tehran, and explained the reasons for the
complete abandonment of basketball in recent decades.
