After achieving great successes in 2011, Iran's weightlifting team begins its 2012 camp from January 1 to prepare for Olympic Games, the world's most important sport events in London

Following the official invitations from Iran's weightlifting Federation, 18 weightlifters began their training sessions in the camp of the national teams in Azadi sport complex, Tehran.
Among the invited athletes, there are some stars including Behdad Salimi (Paris 2011 Championships +105kg gold medalist), Sajad Anoushiravani (Paris 2011 +105kg silver medalist), Bahador Molaie (super heavy weight champion in 2011 World Junior Championships), Alireza Kazeminejad (2011 Juniors' silver medalist and 105kg champion in Singapore Youth Olympic Games), Kianoush Rostami (Paris 2011 85kg champion) and Saeed Mohammad Pour (Paris 2011 94kg bronze medalist.)
According to the usual training schedule, Iranian athletes will attend their training every day under the supervision of their head coach Koroush Bagheri (former Iranian champion). They would have three training sessions on even days at 7.30 am, 10.30 am and 4:30 pm, and would only have one training session on odd days.
In order to avoid the routines of the camps, the weightlifting team would travel all over Iran and would continue its training in different geographical conditions.
